Concertina razor wire is a type of barbed wire or razor wire that is formed in large coils which can be expanded like a concertina. It can be divided into razor wire, straight razor wire, and accordion razor wire in single circle or cross. 

It is most often used to form military-style wire obstacles such as when used in prison barriers, detention camps or riot control and  gardens, hospitals, industrial and mining enterprises, prisons, border posts, detention centers,government building or other security facilities.
